The HPAA discussion forums allow members to
assist each other, post job opportunities, and discuss relevant issues.
To post or reply,
copy-and-paste the email address shown into
the "To" list of a your email.
Each Yahoo
group has a separate subscription list.

Replying via email.
There are two ways to reply to messages from the forum:
-
If you Reply, your message will go privately to
only to the author of the post.
-
If you Reply to All, your message will be:
- broadcast publicly to all
members of the discussion group, and
- posted on the group
website for members to read using their browsers, and
- archived.
Replying via browser. You can reply privately to the
person who posted or publicly to the entire group by
selecting the appropriate "To" address on the reply form.
The default is to reply only to the person who posted.
Formatting. Non-plain-text content is automatically deleted
or simplified – including bullets, boldface, and other word-processing
embellishments.
Attachments (Word and PDF files, etc.) are automatically removed to
prevent the transmission of viruses.
Bullets, boldface, logos, and other word-processing
embellishments are automatically deleted or simplified.
Hotmail users: If a
scissors, clipboard, and other buttons are shown at the top
of the message area while you are composing your message, you
must temporarily turn Microsoft's "Rich Text" mode off.
Click Tools, then click Rich-Text Editor OFF. Otherwise, your
message will be lost.
If you include a URL longer than one line, use
www.makeashorterlink.com
or www.tinyurl.com to make
a short link that readers will be able to click on.
Virus protection. HPAA's forums have the Yahoo Groups
anti-virus and anti-phishing measures enabled:

Attachments are automatically removed.
-
HTML-only posts are automatically rejected back to the sender.
-
HTML segments in posts are automatically removed.
-
Embedded Java code – such as a form submission script – is not
executable.

Hidden hyperlinks are expanded to make phishing visible.
Posting or replying.
Regardless of your email settings, your public posts and
public replies will be:
-
Broadcast publicly to all members of the discussion
group, and
-
Posted on the group website for members to read using
their browsers, and
-
Archived.
Privacy. As a
member, your email address is not available to other members. When you
post, your address is visible to other members of the same forum and is
included in the emails distributed to members.
Terms of service.
Posts are traceable and archived. Posts are the responsibility of
the authors. By posting, you agree to accept the terms of the Posting Policy. Advertising is inserted by Yahoo in
the emails as part of providing this service at no charge.
